Luxury Isle of Wight Accommodation
Originally a gracious Country House, Haven Hall now offers luxurious 5 star bed and breakfast accommodation. ‘Light and bright, sunny and welcoming’ – that sums up the natural welcoming atmosphere of the House. Every room has beautiful sea views. The quirky style of the House is a classic example of Arts & Crafts architecture, circa 1908. Later conversions of the original coach house plus more recent additions have added to its higgledy piggledy charm. An ornate Arts & Crafts fireplace still adds its grace to the original Drawing Room, while the beautiful domed billiard room has now been turned into a gorgeous sunny Breakfast Room. The morning sunrise over the sea means this room probably wins the prize for the view! The elegant blue velvet dining room now hosts an oak paneled Bar with comfortable lounge areas. The adjoining Patio Room with a wall of glass opens out onto a large outdoor Terrace overlooking the sea.
Haven Hall offers 14 different period style Rooms & Suites – all 5 star quality – each one charming in its own individual way. High on the cliffs above Hope Bay, the beautifully landscaped gardens have stunning panoramic sea views stretching from Culver Cliffs, over Sandown Bay to Luccombe. Located just a few steps away from the cliff path that encircles the Island, it’s easy
to walk down to the beach, explore the waterfalls of Shanklin Chine and visit the old thatched Village of Shanklin. The private 2 acre grounds of Haven Hall include a heated swimming pool, grass tennis court and private parking within the securely gated property. The peace, tranquility and elegance make this perfect for adults looking for a quiet place to relax and explore the island.
The Isle of Wight offers so many interesting places to explore! Perhaps you’ll be tempted to explore some of the many hiking trails, walk along the coastal cliff path, stroll along the beaches, go for a swim, or try some more adventurous water sports. Alternatively you could visit some Stately Homes like Queen Victoria’s palace, Tennyson’s House, or the ruins of Appuldurcombe. If you prefer museums, there are many, along with zoos, the donkey sanctuary, the butterfly world and many other attractions. Perhaps you’ll just want to relax with a good book. However you choose to spend your time, it’s always nice to come back at the end of the day to the comfort of your room.
What about dining? The Isle of Wight will surprise and delight you with its many varied and wonderful restaurants. Seafood is a specialty – with crab, lobster and many different fish being caught daily by local fishermen. Gastropubs abound, but there are also several fine dining options as well as Indian, Thai, Chinese and good Italian restaurants. Nothing on the Island is far away! And if you prefer, you can source your own great ingredients and cook up a storm in one of our Suites with fully equipped kitchens.
